Alumnus
2018-19 Max Kade Graduate Student Fellow

A former Graduate Teaching Assistant from Suwanee, Georgia, In May 2020, Aaron finished his M.A. German degree with an emphasis on German literature. Having completed a dual bachelor’s degree in Germanic and Slavic Languages and International Affairs from UGA, Aaron returned to the department to improve his use of the German language and to share his enthusiasm for the German language with UGA students.

Aaron was interested in the field of foreign media analysis, advising important decisions based on media in original German or Russian language. He was employed by Bark, a U.S.-based web and social media monitoring platform that partners with families and schools to protect kids and prevent dangerous online situations.

Aaron, who unexpectedly passed away in the Fall of 2022, is honored for his inspiring passion for German language and culture and for his positive impact on our program
