Award and Grant Programs

A UGA student interning in Passau, Germany, supported in part by a Kicklighter Travel Grant from the Dept. of Germanic & Slavic Studies at UGA.
Julia is a UGA student who interned in Passau, Germany, with the support of the German-American Exchange Program and a Kicklighter Travel Grant.

For students to have an immersive experience abroad, studying, working, and interacting with other cultures, the Department of Germanic & Slavic Studies at the University of Georgia is pleased to offer financial assistance.

Thanks to the generosity of individual donors and foundations, the department offers travel awards and grants to recognize and support research and scholarship, and to support travel abroad for study or research.

Additionally, several alumni wishing to encourage high-achieving students who major in Russian or German each have established a financial award to be given at the end of each academic year.
