Image: Dr. Berna Gueneli recently co-edited, "Visualizing German Orientalism," in a special issue of Colloquia Germanica 54. no 4. with Dr. Kristin Dickinson from the University of Michigan. The special issue includes scholarly articles that address the work of German writers, visual artists, and filmmakers such as Else Lasker-Schüler, Ernst Lubitsch and Lotte Reiniger, Nevin Aladağ, and Kaspar Heidelbach and Douglas Wolfsperger. The publication further includes artistic pieces, such as select drawings and poems by Turkish German writer Zafer Şenocak, and an interview between Dr. Dickinson and Şenocak.
