"At the Movies in 1924: Hollywood vs. European Modernism," hosted by the Wilson Center, will take place Friday, November 22nd at 3 PM in the Fine Arts Building , Room 400 (Balcony Theatre).   

German & English Double Major, Cooper Sunderland, has been chosen for the 2024 SPARK Award in Creative Writing for his project proposal titled, "Art-A Refuge Abroad."

According to the 2024 Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange, released this week by the Institute of International Education (IIE) and U.S. Department of State, UGA ranks: 

This year the German Studies Association held their annual conference in Atlanta from September 26th-29th. Sara Adkins, a Russian and German double major at UGA, presented her project titled, "Post-Wall Russian-German Interventions in German Literature."   

Recently our department had the privilege of hosting German filmmaker Mo Asumang!
