Germanic & Slavic Studies in collaboration with the Department of Linguistics presents a new Study Abroad opportunity in Germany.

The Russian Flagship Program at UGA is offering its first course fall 2018, Intensive Elementary Russian I.  This exciting new program is designed to develop rapid proficiency in the language through intensive courses, funded study abroad, and many other benefits.

Faculty members from the Department of Germanic & Slavic Studies are in Germany this week for the Berlin Seminar in Transnational European Studies.  The seminar brings together scholars, policy experts and journalists to discuss issued related to contemporary Europe. 

Congratulations to Albina Khabibulina, Graduate Teaching Assistant in Russian, who was recently awarded the NFMLTA/NCOLCTL Graduate Students Research Support Award.

Congratulations to Sophie Binney,(BA German, 2018) who was one of 12 Franklin College recipients of the PRESIDENTIAL AWARD OF EXCELLENCE. This award is given to students who show outstanding achievement during their collegiate careers.
