M.A. Student, German

My name is Gideon. I am a master's student from Nigeria. I love to travel and play games. Before coming to UGA, I studied at Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria, where I worked on the themes of Suicide in 18th-century German literature, particularly in Emilia Galotti and die Leiden des jungen Werther. In the 2023/2024 academic session, I was at the University of Rostock as a guest student, where I conducted various research in German post-WWI and WWII History, post-war literature, Holocaust, and medieval Literature. I am currently working on the adoption of the Besatzungskinder in America South under the Jim Crow Laws, while critically examining Heide Fahrenbach's works.
