This course is designed for the intermediate-high to the advanced-level students who study Russian. The course is content-based and covers several areas where global professionals regularly have to communicate in Russian. A multi-disciplinary approach, adopted in this course, gives students an opportunity to think and communicate across a variety of disciplines, e.g., international affairs, ecology, economics, journalism, and other fields. Students learn to discuss abstract topics, express their opinion, hypothesize and provide valid supportive evidence in Russian. Authentic Russian materials give students a chance to experience the diversity of the 21st century Russian society and culture.
