Germania Credit Hours: 3 This course explores the history and culture of the Germanic world from the Bronze Age up until Charlemagne. Emphases include Roman-Germanic confrontation, the Nordic mythology of the Vikings and their relationship to early Germanic pagans, the Christianization of the Germanic tribes as well as the Germanic and German heroic epic.
